Abattoir

Abattoir is a high-concept horror film from director Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV) based on the Radical Publishing comic miniseries. The film revolves around an investigative reporter who must solve the mystery of a haunted house constructed from the rooms of the deceased. Featuring glowing credits over filmed death scenes, the opening title sequence sets the tone of the film that follows. Handwritten notes and house plans flash into view, giving the audience clues about the mystery to come.

Tyrant

Tyrant is an FX original series focusing on the family of a Middle-Eastern tyrant in themidst of a revolution in the fictional country of Abbudin. This opening sequence draws on Middle-Eastern imagery and architecture in a tritone color palette. Dark shadows accented by glowing gold typography are used to build dramatic tension and symbolize the country’s state of unrest.

Universal Audio’s “Classic FX Bundle” gives musicians the power to tap into the analog modulation and delay of the 1970s with inspiration from iconic Roland/Boss units of the era. The team at DarkMatter designed and animated this stimulating piece that provides a visual interpretation of the sounds these products produce. With striking colors, bold typography, and a playful use of geometric shapes, this video highlights the Classic FX Bundle’s features and capabilities.
